2. Veneer preparation: The precise art of veneer creation begins with cutting the selected logs into optimal lengths, followed by expertly slicing them into veneers using our state-of-the-art rotary cutter. This process demands meticulous control over factors such as rotary cutting speed and tool angle, ensuring each veneer maintains a uniform thickness and a pristine, smooth surface. For specific plywood requirements, we may also use a planing method to skillfully craft wood blocks into delicately thin wood chips, underscoring our dedication to versatility and excellence.
3. Veneer drying: The freshly rotary-cut veneers, rich with moisture, are then expertly dried. We provide two drying techniques: cost-effective natural drying, which is weather-dependent and has longer cycles, and highly efficient artificial drying. The latter uses advanced methods like steam and hot air drying to precisely reduce veneer moisture content to the ideal range of 8% to 12%, dramatically enhancing production efficiency.
4. Gluing and assembly: After drying, veneers are meticulously coated with eco-friendly adhesives, a crucial step in determining the plywood's bonding strength and environmental profile. We employ a strategic assembly technique, aligning the fiber directions of adjacent layers perpendicularly. This method significantly enhances the board's structural stability and durability, ensuring long-lasting performance.
5. Hot pressing Bonding: The assembled slabs are then subjected to a transformative hot pressing bonding process within a hot press, operating at temperatures between 100ºC - 150ºC and pressures ranging from 3-10MPa. The duration, tailored to the sheet's thickness and adhesive properties, typically spans from several minutes to tens of minutes. This crucial stage cures the adhesive, forging a robust bond that steadfastly unites the veneer layers, guaranteeing superior strength and stability.
6. Post-processing: Following hot-pressing, our plywood undergoes meticulous post-processing, which includes precision edge trimming and surface sanding. Edge trimming ensures impeccable dimensional accuracy by eliminating any unevenness. Expert sanding results in a flawlessly smooth and flat surface, creating the perfect canvas for subsequent decorative finishes such as veneering and painting, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.
