Close attention is paid to the wood's texture, grain, hardness, and moisture levels to ensure they align with our high production standards. 2. Veneer Preparation: Logs are expertly sliced into perfect veneers using a rotary cutter, a process where precision is key. Parameters such as speed and tool angle are meticulously controlled to achieve a uniform veneer thickness and a flawlessly smooth surface. For special plywood varieties, we employ planing methods to craft wood blocks into exquisitely thin wood chips.
3. Veneer Drying: Freshly cut veneers are rich in moisture and require expert drying. We offer two drying techniques: natural, which is cost-effective but weather-dependent and slow, and artificial, which includes steam and hot air drying to swiftly reduce moisture to optimal levels of 8%-12%, significantly enhancing production efficiency.
4. Gluing and Assembly: Post-drying, veneers are enveloped in eco-friendly adhesives to ensure superior bonding strength and environmental safety. The glue application is followed by a precise assembly where fiber directions in adjacent layers are perpendicular, a technique ensuring unparalleled board stability.
5. Hot Pressing Bonding: Meticulously assembled slabs are subjected to a hot press, bonding them under exact temperatures (100ºC - 150ºC) and pressures (3-10MPa). Pressing time varies with sheet thickness and adhesive properties, generally a few to several tens of minutes, achieving a secure and permanent bond.
6. Post-Processing: The finishing touch to our plywood involves precise edge trimming and expert sanding. Trimming eliminates irregularities, ensuring perfect dimensions, while sanding creates a silky-smooth surface, ready for further decorative enhancements like veneering and painting.
