Production Process Overview

Poplar, light and easily workable, serves well in crafting standard plywood, while birch, with its stunning grain and robust nature, is reserved for luxury-grade plywood.
2. Veneer Preparation: Once selected, logs are meticulously cut into specific lengths and skillfully sliced into veneers using a state-of-the-art rotary cutter. Precision is key during this phase, with optimal control over rotary cutting speed and tool angle, guaranteeing a consistent thickness and flawless veneer surface. For specialized plywood, we employ an alternative planing technique to slice wood blocks into finely thin chips.
3. Veneer Drying: Freshly rotary-cut veneers carry high moisture levels, necessitating an effective drying process. We utilize both natural and artificial drying methods. While natural drying is cost-effective, it is weather-dependent and time-intensive. Artificial drying, utilizing steam or hot air, rapidly adjusts veneer moisture to the ideal 8-12% range, thereby significantly boosting production efficiency.
4. Gluing and Assembly: Post-drying, veneers proceed to the gluing stage, where eco-friendly adhesives are uniformly applied, ensuring optimal bonding and environmental performance. The quality of the adhesive directly influences the final product's integrity. Assembly follows a strategic pattern with perpendicular fiber directions across layers, securing the plywood's structural stability.
5. Hot Pressing Bonding: Assembled slabs are introduced to a hot press, where they undergo bonding under precise temperature (100ºC - 150ºC) and pressure (3-10MPa) conditions. The pressing duration depends on sheet thickness and adhesive properties, ranging from minutes to tens of minutes. This crucial step solidifies the adhesive, ensuring each veneer layer is robustly bonded.
6. Post-processing: Following hot-pressing, the plywood is subject to post-processing techniques such as edge trimming and sanding. Edge trimming removes irregularities, ensuring precise dimensions, while sanding renders a smoother, flatter surface. This finesse prepares the board for decorative enhancements like veneering and painting.
