Production process
1. Log Selection: The foundation of our premium plywood lies in the meticulous selection of high-quality logs. We predominantly use poplar, birch, pine, and eucalyptus. Each type offers unique advantages-poplar's lightweight and soft texture make it ideal for standard plywood, while birch stands out for its hardness and exquisite grain, perfect for high-end applications. Our selection process ensures that the texture, grain, hardness, and moisture content of the wood meet only the highest production standards.
2. Veneer Preparation: Once the finest logs are chosen, they are resized appropriately and expertly sliced into veneers using a precision rotary cutter. By meticulously controlling parameters like cutting speed and tool angle, we achieve uniform thickness and smooth surfaces. For specialized plywood needs, we utilize a planing method to create precisely thin wood chips, delivering unmatched quality.
3. Veneer Drying: Freshly rotary-cut veneers often contain high moisture and require careful drying. We offer two options: cost-effective natural drying, though weather dependent, or advanced artificial drying methods like steam and hot air drying. These techniques efficiently manage moisture content, ensuring it's within the ideal range of 8% to 12%, enhancing both the production efficiency and the overall quality of our plywood.
4. Gluing and Assembly: Post-drying, veneers undergo a meticulous gluing process, where eco-friendly adhesives are applied evenly for optimal bonding strength and environmental performance. Panels are then assembled with precision, ensuring the fiber directions of adjacent layers are perpendicular, giving the plywood unparalleled structural stability.
5. Hot Pressing Bonding: Assembled slabs are then subjected to a meticulous hot pressing process, where they are bonded under controlled temperatures (100ºC - 150ºC) and pressures (3-10MPa). The duration, tailored to the thickness and adhesive properties, ranges from minutes to tens of minutes. During this phase, the adhesive cures, solidifying the bond among veneers.
6. Post-processing: After hot-pressing, the plywood is refined through edge trimming and sanding processes. Edge cutting ensures dimensional precision by removing any irregularities, while sanding creates a smooth, flat surface, perfect for subsequent decorative enhancements like veneering and painting, achieving a flawless finish.
Mixed-wood Plywood Detailed Uses
Basic Structure of Ordinary Furniture: Ideal for internal support in standard furniture, like wardrobe partitions and drawer panels, mixed-wood plywood offers the necessary strength at a cost-efficient price point. Despite not requiring high-quality wood aesthetics, it provides essential stability for frames in simple tables and chairs.
Temporary Building Materials: Widely utilized in temporary constructions like site dormitories and movable plank houses, mixed-wood plywood effectively balances affordability with functionality. Its cost-effectiveness controls construction expenses while adequately serving temporary structural needs, making it the go-to choice for short-lived buildings.
General Packaging: In packaging, mixed-wood plywood is a staple for crafting boxes requiring modest material standards, perfect for agricultural products and industrial parts. It offers basic protection against transport-related impacts while its cost benefits make it ideal for extensive usage.
