2. Veneer Preparation: Transform selected logs into exquisite veneers using rotary cutting techniques. Precision is key, with controlled rotary speed and tool angles ensuring perfect veneer thickness and smoothness. For special plywood requirements, planing methods are also employed to craft delicate wood chips.
3. Veneer Drying: Freshly rotary-cut veneers retain high moisture levels, necessitating expert drying processes. Choose between cost-effective natural drying or weather-independent artificial methods like steam and hot air drying. These techniques swiftly regulate moisture to an optimal 8%-12%, boosting production efficiency.
4. Gluing and Assembly: Once dried, veneers undergo a meticulous gluing process with eco-friendly adhesives. The adhesive's quality is vital for plywood's bonding strength and eco-performance. Panels are expertly assembled, with fibers in perpendicular layers, ensuring stability and structural integrity.
5. Hot Pressing Bonding: Assembled slabs are hot pressed, bonding layers at temperatures of 100ºC - 150ºC and pressures of 3-10MPa. The pressing duration adapts to sheet thickness and adhesive properties, ranging from minutes to tens of minutes, resulting in a robustly bonded plywood structure.
6. Post-Processing: Post-hot-pressing, plywood undergoes edge trimming and sanding. Trimming refines dimensions, while sanding creates a smooth surface, ready for decorative applications like veneering and painting. Each board emerges flawlessly, poised for its next transformation.
