2. Veneer Preparation: Transcending ordinary cutting procedures, our process involves slicing chosen logs into veneers with precision using a rotary cutter. During this stage, parameters like rotary cutting speed and tool angle are finely tuned to achieve even thickness and a polished veneer surface. For specialized plywood requirements, we employ a planing method to delicately slice wood blocks into ultra-thin wood chips, ensuring unmatched veneer quality.
3. Veneer Drying: Freshly rotary-cut veneers possess high moisture levels, necessitating thorough drying. We employ both natural and artificial drying methods. While natural drying is economical, it is subject to weather variations and longer cycles. Our artificial drying techniques, such as steam and hot air drying, rapidly reduce moisture content to an optimal 8%-12% range, significantly boosting production efficiency.
4. Gluing and Assembly: Following the drying phase, veneers undergo a meticulous gluing process where eco-friendly adhesives are uniformly applied. The adhesive's quality is critical to the plywood's bonding strength and environmental integrity. Panels are assembled with precision, adhering to a perpendicular fiber direction rule between adjacent layers, ensuring superior structural stability.
5. Hot Pressing Bonding: Assembled panels are subjected to a hot pressing process, where they undergo high-temperature bonding (100ºC - 150ºC) and pressure (3-10MPa). The hot pressing duration, influenced by sheet thickness and adhesive properties, varies from a few minutes to several minutes. This stage cures the adhesive, forging a robust bond among veneer layers.
6. Post-Processing: Once hot-pressing is complete, our plywood undergoes meticulous post-processing, including precision edge trimming and sanding. Edge cutting eradicates irregularities, ensuring dimensional precision. Sanding enhances board smoothness, priming the surface for subsequent decorative treatments like veneering and painting.
