Production process
1. Log selection: Selecting premium logs is the cornerstone of crafting superior plywood. We predominantly use poplar, birch, pine, and eucalyptus. Each selection is meticulously evaluated for texture, grain, hardness, and moisture content to meet our exacting standards. For instance, poplar is lightweight and has excellent machinability, ideal for standard plywood. Birch, with its hard texture and beautiful grain, is chosen for luxury plywood products.
2. Veneer preparation: The handpicked logs are precision-cut into veneers utilizing a rotary cutter. We ensure perfect control over rotary cutting speed and tool angle to achieve consistent veneer thickness and a smooth finish. When specialized requirements arise, we also employ planing techniques to produce intricate wood chips, enhancing the versatility of our plywood.
3. Veneer drying: Freshly rotary-cut veneers with high moisture content undergo drying. We offer two methods: natural drying, cost-effective but weather-dependent with a longer cycle, and artificial drying, using steam or hot air, to swiftly reduce moisture to the optimal 8%-12% range, thus boosting production efficiency.
4. Gluing and assembly: Post-drying, veneers enter the gluing stage. We meticulously apply eco-friendly adhesives, vital for robust bonding and environmental safety. Panels are assembled with cross-oriented fiber layers for enhanced structural stability, a testament to our commitment to quality and precision.
5. Hot pressing Bonding: Assembled slabs are subjected to controlled hot pressing at temperatures of 100ºC - 150ºC and pressures of 3-10MPa. This process, lasting from a few to several minutes, depending on sheet thickness and adhesive properties, ensures each veneer layer is flawlessly bonded, elevating the product's durability.
6. Post-processing: After hot pressing, the plywood undergoes meticulous post-processing, including edge trimming for dimensional precision and sanding for a smooth, flat surface. These steps prepare the plywood for advanced decorative treatments like veneering and painting, ensuring a superior finish.
Pine Plywood Detailed Uses
Construction Formwork: Pine plywood is the optimal choice for construction formwork. Despite its soft nature, its elasticity allows it to withstand significant pressure during concrete pouring, maintaining form integrity. Its reusability makes it cost-effective for high-rise building elements like walls and floors.
Furniture Manufacturing: As a core material for furniture frames, such as bed and sofa frames, pine plywood provides robust support. Its natural allure and aroma contribute to a rustic style, perfect for creating simple, yet elegant tables, chairs, and bookshelves that cater to a natural home ambiance.
Packaging Industry: In the packaging sector, pine plywood is indispensable. Its strength ensures the safe transport of heavy machinery and large appliances, protecting them from damage. Ideal for crafting pallets, it plays a crucial role in logistics, warehousing, and transportation efficiency.
